ResumoAbstract 1. In 5°C-acclimated frogs, the rate response of the isolated heart to temperature was exponential over the 5–22°C range of temperature. The response was identical during the summer and during the winter. 2. In 25°C-acclimated frogs, the response was linear in two phases. The slope of the 5–17 (18)°C phase (1·340) was significantly steeper during the summer than during the winter (0·850), whereas the slope of the upper phase was identical during both seasons (1·954 and 1·900, respectively).
