ResumoThe first recorded eurypterid from the Writhlington Geological Nature Reserve is described and is referred to the Westphalian species Adelophthalmus imhofi (Reuss). The palaeoecology of the animal is discussed and it is concluded that it was a freshwater predator living in a river channel system.
