Resumo

The effects of the antiferromagnetic order in the iron-phosphorus trisulphide (FePS3) are investigated by Raman spectroscopy. Enhancements of some phonon peaks are observed below the Néel temperature and this effect is found to be independent from the exciting wavelength. From the temperature dependence of the peak intensities the spin correlation function of FePS3 is evaluated and found to be in satisfactory agreement with the available neutron scattering data.
