ResumoIn an recently published article about the natural history of Chagas heart disease, Dávila et al. [1] stated that "we and other investigators have consistently found that impairment of the cardiac parasympathetic nervous system and permanent activation of neuro-humoral systems are late events in the natural history of Chagas disease."
