ResumoModified oligo(T)s carrying an azobebzene at the 5′-ends form unexpectedly stable triple-helixes with oligo(A)/oligo(T) double-helix. The triplex-stabilizing activity of the azobenzene is comparable with (or greater than) that of thymine.
