ResumoAs improvements in surface coil technology and imaging sequences continue, increased applicability of MRI to small yet complex structures such as the wrist is assured. Almost certainly, the full potential of MRI in the wrist has yet to be realized, and its versatility is perhaps limited only by the radiologist's experience. As we become more adept at this modality, it will become an increasingly important component in the radiology armamentarium.
