ResumoThe eurypterids Baltoeurypterus n. sp. A, Eurypterus n. sp. A and Rhinocarcinosoma sp. indet. come from the basal part of the Cape Clarence Member of the Leopold Formation at Port Leopold, northeastern Somerset Island, Arctic Canada. Other faunal elements such as con- odonts, ostracoderms and brachiopods suggest that the eurypterids may be of late Ludlovian age. Sedimentological analysis clearly suggests that the eurypterids inhabited a high intertidal environ- ment. They have not been found in the supratidal, low intertidal or subtidal parts of the sequence.
