Several cases of dieldrin poisoning were reported amongst sprayers following repeated exposure to this insecticide. The symptoms developed by some of the most severe cases of poisoning included epileptiform convulsions. The effect of dieldrin on muscular efficiency of rats was studied. A state of chronic toxicity was produced by maintaining two groups of rats on a diet containing 25 p.p.m. and 50 p.p.m. of dieldrin respectively. A third group receiving a diet containing no dieldrin acted as a control. ...

Background: Colorectal cancer (CRC) rates are affected by genetics, ethnicity, and environmental factors; it is considered one of the most aggressive human malignancies with high mortality and morbidity rates worldwide due, in part, to its asymptomatic nature during the early stages of disease. Objective: Owing to the impact of microRNA (miRNA) dysregulation on CRC development and progression, this study was conducted to explore the expression levels of mir-21, -23a, and -27a in the sera and tissues ...

Decompressive craniectomy (DC) is a surgical procedure performed to manage intracranial hypertension. Once performed, patients are obligated to undergo another surgical procedure known as cranioplasty to reconstruct the cranial defect. Cranioplasty still has one of the highest rates of infection. The factors contributing to the high rate of surgical site infection (SSI) after cranioplasty are not well established. This study aims to estimate the incidence of SSI and determine its possible risk factors ...

The screen-printed technique is widely used as an efficient tool for electrochemical analysis in environment, clinical and agri-food areas. Significantly, it has the ability to transfer electrochemical laboratory experiments into the field. The aim is to adjust the weight coefficients of the array attenuators in −30 dB precision to achieve a minimum sidelobe level (SLL) with narrower beam width. The peak sidelobe level (PSL) of the synthesized beam pattern has been successfully lowered. The results are compared with synthesized pattern using precision like weights such as Gaussian, ...

Reservoir petrophysical properties such as relative permeability are influenced by the state of stresses acting on the reservoir rock. Production and water flooding operations induce changes in the net effective pressure due to changes in pore pressure that affects relative permeability curves. Previous studies conducted to investigate the effect of net pressure on relative permeability were conducted by varying the overburden pressure rather than pore pressure. One part of the original PUF promise was their improved resilience against physical attack methods, such as cloning, invasive techniques, and arguably also side channels. In recent years, however, a number of effective physical attacks on PUFs have been developed [17,18,20,8,2]. This paper continues this line of research, and introduces the first power and timing side channels (SCs) on PUFs, more specifically on Arbiter PUF variants. Concretely, we attack so-called XOR Arbiter PUFs and Lightweight ...
