A set of benzofuroxan derivatives was tested in vitro against Trypanosoma cruzi epimastigote forms. The influence of physicochemical properties on these benzofuroxan derivatives' activity was observed, and the presence of electron-withdrawing and hydrophobic groups attached to the benzene ring seems to make a favorable contribution at lower concentrations.

Conjugate additions of lower order and higher order cyano cuprates containing the cis-2-tri-n-butylstannylvinyl group to cycloalkenones have been studied. The higher order cuprates were more reactive towards hindered enones such as 4,4- dimethylcyclohexenone and 2,4,4-trimethylcyclohexenone, and produced higher yields with the base-sensitive acetonide of cis-4,5-dihydroxycyclohexenone.

Abstract A variety of difunctionalized aryl‐2‐oxazolines were prepared from the reaction of halophenyl‐2‐oxazolines and TMPMgCl · LiCl to give an organomagnesium reagent, which was then treated with various electrophiles. This pilot study aimed to assess drug-drug and drug-food interactions in elderly patients of a Family Health Care Unit in Aracaju, Brazil. A descriptive pilot study was performed through an interview questionnaire with 35 elderly patients (28 women) of the Family Health Care Unit.
