Muslims congregate for prayers in mosques five times daily: at dawn, noon, afternoon, sunset, and evening. Because these times are governed by the sun, they change within the year but are perpetual. As such, mosque load profiles are highly predictable and witness little variation year over year. The relatively large size of mosque rooftops and their ubiquity in the Muslim world make them ideal candidates for solar photovoltaic (PV) installations. We perform a technoeconomic analysis on a 124 kW PV ...

For photovoltaic (PV) systems suffering energy loss due to an accumulation of soil, there is an optimum cleaning interval that balances the economic cost of lost revenues due to soiling loss with the cost of cleaning operations and, thereby, minimizes the total cost per unit energy delivered by the system and, thus, the levelized cost of electricity. This optimum interval may vary, depending on cleaning costs, as well as seasonal variations in soiling loss and energy production. In this work, a general ...

We conjecture that the adverse perceptions of signals associated with tie discontinuation reduce ...

Power consumption in irreversible QCA logic circuits is a vital and a major issue; however in the practical cases, this focus is mostly omitted. The complete power depletion dataset of different QCA multiplexers have been worked out in this paper. At −271.15 °C temperature, the depletion is evaluated under three separate tunneling energy levels. All the circuits are designed with QCADesigner, a broadly used simulation engine and QCAPro tool has been applied for estimating the power dissipation.

The human progesterone receptor (hPR) belongs to the steroid receptor family. It may be found as monomers (A and B) and or as a dimer (AB). hPR is regarded as the prognostic biomarker for breast cancer. In a cellular dimer system, AB is the dominant species in most cases. However, when a cell coexpresses all three isoforms of hPR, the complexity of the action of this receptor increases. For example, hPR A suppresses the activity of hPR B, and the ratio of hPR A to hPR B may determine the physiology ...
