Diffraction optical elements (DOE) are important elements of systems for images displaying and processing. The DOE materials with both positive and negative birefringence enhance performances and functionality of such systems. We have calculated diffraction of rays passing through (OAGSM) by using our original Exedeep software. At the first time the diffraction parameters for both transmitted and reflected TE‐ and TM‐waves are calculated for materials with both positive and negative optical anisotropy. ...

Within the framework of “Proryv” project a radiation-equivalent approach to radioactive waste management is being envisioned with U and Pu recycling and MA transmutation. Successful industry-wide implementation of the design approaches should be planned in order to avoid considerable financial and radiological encumbrances caused by the NFC final stage for two-component nuclear power system (NPS) under formation on the basis of thermal and fast reactors. In order to ensure a successful industry-wide ...

The diffraction of polarized light transmitted through an optically anisotropic substrate with surface microrelief is calculated using the Exedeep program (optically anisotropic lattices with surface microrelief). The diffraction parameters are determined in different diffraction orders of transmitted and reflected TE and TM waves for materials with both positive and negative optical anisotropy. Such materials can be low- and high-molecular-weight calamitic and discotic liquid crystals. The results ...

In Wi-Fi networks, preliminary channel reservation protects transmissions in reserved time intervals from collisions with neighboring stations. However, making changes in established reservations takes long time spent on negotiating changes with neighboring stations and dissemination of information about these changes. This complicates serving of Variable Bit Rate (VBR) flows which intensity varies with time, what leaves no choice but to reserve some additional time for handling data bursts and packet ...

The structure of the hard tissues of the lower third molars (enamel, dentin, enamel-dentin junction) at different stages of eruption in the presence/absence of connective tissue dysplasia as a factor that can affect not only odontogenesis, but also teething was analyzed using infrared (IR) spectroscopy. A technique for deconvolution of IR spectra of hard dental tissues has been developed. It has been established that the differences between the stages of eruption are due to changes in the mineral ...

The classical microelectromechanics is oriented to the standard silicon technology which is presently dominated by the 'silicon-on-silicon dioxide' structure. This choice presents a combination of two wide band gap materials: one is aluminum nitride which is a pronounced dielectric and possesses piezoelectric properties as well, and the other, silicon carbide, is a typical semiconductor. Both of them are optically active, including the UV region, and have high heat conductances and Debye temperatures ...

Selection of candidate materials and processes for manufacturing structural members is of great moment in designing surface micromechanics devices. The known arts of obtaining superficial microstructures, as a rule, with the use of a 'sacrificial' layer were based on the employment of polysilicon as a working material and of silicon dioxide as a removable 'sacrificial' underlayer. This paper proposed an art for obtaining a novel structure forming the basis for surface micromechanics. Thereby monocrystalline ...
