The work studies to what extent a light or high level of negligence impacts negatively on the psychological development of a group of children. The sample was constituted by 57 subjects with an age range of 8 to 13 years. Tests, the teacher's evaluation and class partners' evaluation were used. Trace metal concentrations in PM10 were measured in an urban–industrial site in León, Mexico in three different seasons.
