This study presents an overview of options aiming to reduce emissions to air, soil and water from an aluminium die casting plant located in Portugal. We identify eighteen pollution reduction options and then estimate their potential to reduce the pollution, and the costs associated with their implementation to the die casting plant. It is concluded from immunohistochemical that all four types of prostaglandin-E2 (PGE2) (EP1, EP2, EP3 and EP4) receptors are associated with specific cell-types in primary rat retinal cultures. The expression of glutamate decarboxylase forms, GAD-65 and GAD-67, in GABAergic cells was studied by immunocytochemistry in the retina of the New World monkey, Cebus apella . Cortical spreading depression (CSD) propagation was investigated in rats under dietary essential fatty acid (EFA) deficiency over two generations (F1 and F2). Wistar rat dams received diets containing 5% fat either from coconut-oil (EFA-deficient) or soybean-oil (control). O trabalho teve por objetivo caracterizar o currículo paralelo dos alunos da terceira série do curso médico da Universidade Federal de Alagoas, por meio de um questionário auto-aplicado a uma amostra de 63 alunos.
