Abstract A number of prognostic factors affect outcome in patients with relapsed or primary refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), including refractory disease and the second-line age-adjusted international prognostic index. In de novo DLBCL, the cell of orgin, as determined by expression microarray analysis or immunohistochemistry (IHC), predicts event-free survival (EFS). We evaluated the cell of origin, as well as other pathologic markers of outcome, on the repeat biopsy specimen of 88 ...

The prognostic significance of CC chemokine receptor type 7 (CCR7) for survival of patients with gastric cancer remains controversial. To investigate the impacts of CCR7 on clinicopathological findings and survival outcome in gastric cancer, we performed a meta-analysis.A comprehensive search in PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, and the CNKI database (1966 to November 2015) was undertaken for relevant studies. The relative risk and hazard ratios with their 95 % confidence intervals were used as ...

The top-shaped morphology characteristic of asteroid (101955) Bennu, often found among fast-spinning asteroids and binary asteroid primaries, may have contributed substantially to binary asteroid formation. Yet a detailed geophysical analysis of this morphology for a fast-spinning asteroid has not been possible prior to the Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, and Security-Regolith Explorer (OSIRIS-REx) mission. Combining the measured Bennu mass and shape obtained during the ...

Early spectral data from the Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, and Security-Regolith Explorer (OSIRIS-REx) mission reveal evidence for abundant hydrated minerals on the surface of near-Earth asteroid (101955) Bennu in the form of a near-infrared absorption near 2.7 μm and thermal infrared spectral features that are most similar to those of aqueously altered CM carbonaceous chondrites. We observe these spectral features across the surface of Bennu, and there is no evidence ...

During its approach to asteroid (101955) Bennu, NASA's Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, and Security-Regolith Explorer (OSIRIS-REx) spacecraft surveyed Bennu's immediate environment, photometric properties, and rotation state. Discovery of a dusty environment, a natural satellite, or unexpected asteroid characteristics would have had consequences for the mission's safety and observation strategy. Here we show that spacecraft observations during this period were highly sensitive ...

Active asteroids are those that show evidence of ongoing mass loss. We report repeated instances of particle ejection from the surface of (101955) Bennu, demonstrating that it is an active asteroid. The ejection events were imaged by the OSIRIS-REx (Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, and Security-Regolith Explorer) spacecraft. For the three largest observed events, we estimated the ejected particle velocities and sizes, event times, source regions, and energies. We also determined ...

The Kuiper Belt is a distant region of the Solar System. On 1 January 2019, the New Horizons spacecraft flew close to (486958) 2014 MU69, a Cold Classical Kuiper Belt Object, a class of objects that have never been heated by the Sun and are therefore well preserved since their formation. Here we describe initial results from these encounter observations. MU69 is a bi-lobed contact binary with a flattened shape, discrete geological units, and noticeable albedo heterogeneity. However, there is little ...

Establishing the abundance and physical properties of regolith and boulders on asteroids is crucial for understanding the formation and degradation mechanisms at work on their surfaces. Using images and thermal data from NASA’s Origins, Spectral Interpretation, Resource Identification, and Security-Regolith Explorer (OSIRIS-REx) spacecraft, we show that asteroid (101955) Bennu’s surface is globally rough, dense with boulders, and low in albedo. The number of boulders is surprising given Bennu’s moderate ...

Abstract OSIRIS‐REx began observing particle ejection events shortly after entering orbit around near‐Earth asteroid (101955) Bennu in January 2019. For some of these events, the only observations of the ejected particles come from the first two images taken immediately after the event by OSIRIS‐REx's NavCam 1 imager. Without three or more observations of each particle, traditional orbit determination is not possible. However, by assuming that the particles all ejected at the same time and location ...

Abstract We analyze the trajectories of 313 particles seen in the near‐Bennu environment between December 2018 and September 2019. Of these, 65% follow suborbital trajectories, 20% undergo more than one orbital revolution around the asteroid, and 15% directly escape on hyperbolic trajectories. The median lifetime of these particles is ∼6 hr. The trajectories are sensitive to Bennu's gravitational field, which allows us to reliably estimate the spherical harmonic coefficients through degree 8 and ...

Abstract Near‐Earth asteroid (101955) Bennu is an active asteroid experiencing mass loss in the form of ejection events emitting up to hundreds of millimeter‐ to centimeter‐scale particles. The close proximity of the Origins, Spectral Interpretations, Resource Identification, and Security–Regolith Explorer spacecraft enabled monitoring of particles for a 10‐month period encompassing Bennu's perihelion and aphelion. We found 18 multiparticle ejection events, with masses ranging from near zero to hundreds ...

Randomness and intermittency are common challenges in wind power prediction. Most studies focus on randomness but usually ignore the intermittency of wind power that leads to sample imbalance and impairs prediction accuracy. To address the sample imbalance problem, a segment imbalance regression (SIR) method with crisscross optimization (CSO) is proposed to proactively dig and utilize the imbalance nature of samples. By investigating the interactions among adjacent samples, SIR is employed to adaptively ...

China is implementing intensive policies on electric vehicles to control air pollution in urban regions, especially the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (BTH) region, one of the most polluted areas in China. The development of electric vehicles will lead to an increase in electricity demand. Because electricity is mostly generated by thermal power in China, primary energy consumption will also increase. This study sets two scenarios: with the electric vehicle policies scenario (REN) and without the electric ...

The accuracy and stability of wind power forecasting are very important for the operation of wind farms. However, for the newly built wind farms without sufficient historical data, it is difficult to make a more accurate prediction. Therefore, it is of great significance to explore a method to improve the wind power prediction accuracy with no sufficient historical data available. In this paper, a novel prediction model is proposed to address the few-shot learning problem of wind power prediction ...

Carbonaceous asteroids, such as (101955) Bennu, preserve material from the early Solar System, including volatile compounds and organic molecules. We report spacecraft imaging and spectral data collected during and after retrieval of a sample from Bennu’s surface. The sampling event mobilized rocks and dust into a debris plume, excavating a 9-meter-long elliptical crater. This exposed material is darker, spectrally redder, and more abundant in fine particulates than the original surface. The bulk ...

The OSIRIS-REx mission has observed multiple instances of particles being ejected from the surface of near-Earth asteroid (101955) Bennu. The ability to quickly identify the particle trajectories and origins is necessary following a particle ejection event. Using proven initial orbit determination techniques, we can rapidly estimate particle trajectories and ejection locations. We present current results pertaining to the identification of particle tracks, an evaluation of the estimated orbits and ...

Asteroids with diameters less than about 5 km have complex histories because they are small enough for radiative torques, YORP, to be a notable factor in their evolution. (152830) Dinkinesh is a small asteroid orbiting the Sun near the inner edge of the Main Asteroid Belt with a heliocentric semimajor axis of 2.19 AU; its S type spectrum is typical of bodies in this part of the Main Belt. Here we report observations by the Lucy spacecraft as it passed within 431 km of Dinkinesh. Lucy revealed Dinkinesh, ...

Social networks have become increasingly popular over the past decade, almost in all user communities. Users, in such networks, post a variety of their (personal) information on electronic profiles – initially accessible by their friends, yet ultimately accessible by strangers, no matter transitively or directly. This is a very convenient mechanism to facilitate information sharing but it is highly susceptible to privacy violations. Most social network infrastructures do not have a privacy management ...

Phase errors caused by the gamma nonlinear response of the phase shift profilometry (PSP) severely affect 3D measurement accuracy. To tackle this, a simple phase error compensation technique based on polar angle average is presented in this paper to improve the accuracy. Wrapped phase values are regarded as polar angles, and a polar axis distribution map can be obtained in the polar coordinate. Practically, the polar axis distribution (PAD) of the undistorted wrapped phase is uniform. When there are ...

Color phase-shifting profilometry encodes the gray fringe pattern of the conventional three-step phase-shifting algorithm into a single-color image as a means of greatly increasing the measurement speed. However, the color crosstalk problem induces phase errors, which affect the measuring accuracy. In this study, a color crosstalk suppression method based on the equalization of the wrapped phase chord distribution is proposed. By using the wrapped phase value as the polar angle, a chord distribution ...
