The Pushkari archaeological complex is one of the few sites which shows human occupations related to the first part of the Upper Pleniglacial. Pushkari I furnished rich archaeological material. Study of the lithic industry identified a facies of Gravettian with epigravettian features, called Pushkarian. In order to figure out acquisition and treatment modalities of large mammals, and to test the hypothesis of the use of woolly mammoth as a source of food and building material, we conducted a zooarchaeological ...

The therapeutic response of tuberculosis (TB) infected AIDS patients to the administration of Enercel, a registered homeopathic product, was investigated. While all 11 patients in the study received anti-TB medication, only 2 patients received antiretroviral (ARV) drugs. The patients received daily Enercel therapy administered by 4 routes (intravenous, sublingual, intranasal and intrabronchial). Eight of the 11 Enercel treated patients had TB positive sputum smears at the beginning of the study (baseline). ...

Materials and Methods: Dogs with a provisional exclusion of sepsis were included in the study. The control group (Group 1) included clinically healthy dogs (n=5), and medium-breed dogs with ...

New studies carried out using synchrotron and neutron methods of imaging, electron microscopy, neutron diffraction and 3D-modelling of objects deposited in the most famous mound of Medieval Rus' – Chernaya Mogila (10th century) – have led to the discovery of a previously unknown category of artefacts which may be interpreted as power insignia ('barbarian scepters'). Ornaments in Mammen style (one of the styles of Scandinavian Viking Age art) and details of the artefact morphology clearly indicate the Scandinavian ...
