Hydration shell and alterations in the structural state of DNA isolated from the liver of rats irradiated in the Chernobyl zone have been examined. Complex dielectric permittivity in the millimeter band was found to change suggesting that DNA exposed to radiation is characterized by the reduced ability of ordering the structure of water shell as compared to native DNA.
