This study compared the prevalence of Salmonella spp. and their antimicrobial susceptibilities in pigs from conventional and organic farms during 2012–2013 in Korea and characterized them by molecular methods. Altogether, 100 nontyphoid Salmonella were isolated: 47 from 1324 pigs (3.5%) from conventional farms and 53 from 641 pigs (8.3%) from organic farms. In this article, we have demonstrated 125-nm-gate InGaAs-on-insulator (InGaAs-OI) high-electron-mobility transistors (HEMTs) on Si substrates via wafer bonding. Here, we report the synthesis of high quality monolayer graphene on the pre-treated copper (Cu) foil by chemical vapor deposition method. The pre-treatment process, which consists of pre-annealing in a hydrogen ambient, followed by diluted nitric acid etching of Cu foil, helps in removing impurities. Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) causes acute diarrhea and dehydration in pigs and leads to death with a high mortality rate, which has been reported notably in Korea. The spike (S) gene of the PEDV isolated in Korea was cloned and sequenced. The nucleotide sequence encoding the entire S gene open reading frame of Korean strain was 4161 bases long encoding 1387 amino acids. The effects of nitrogen (N2) flow rate during high-temperature annealing were investigated for Ti/Al/Ni/Au ohmic metallisation on InAlN/GaN heterostructures. The samples annealed at 900°C for 100 s at a 30 SCCM N2 flow rate had the highest ohmic contact performance: a contact resistance of 0.12 Ω·mm, transfer length of 0.31 μm and specific contact resistivity of 3.42 × 10−7 Ω·cm2.
