〈도라도라 영어나라〉는 관객에게 직접적으로 질문을 던지며 대화를 유도하는 방식으로 극이 진행되는 문답형 애니메이션이다. 〈도라도라 영어나라〉의 등장 캐릭터들은 관객을 바라보고 말하듯 직접적으로 이야기 한다. 이러한 가상의 관객에서 질문하고 대답을 유도하는 형식은 일종의 권력을 형성한다고 할 수 있다. 등장인물들은 모두 카메라를 응시하며 감시자의 역할에서 관객을 지켜보고 있다. 결국 관객 스스로 시청을 통하여 권력 하에 놓이게 되며 보이지 않는 시선에 집중하게 된다. 〈도라도라 영어나라〉에서 등장 캐릭터는 내러티브상에서 질문하는 주체로, 관객은 대답하는 주체로 설정되어 있다. 이러한 차별적인 관계는 관객의 의지와는 상관없이 본질이 왜곡된 채 형성되어 버린다. 결국 관객은 질문에 대답하기 위해 내러티브를 주의깊게 쫒아가야 하며 TV를 보는 방식이 여가가 아닌 훈육의 과정으로 변질된다. 〈도라도라 영어나라〉는 단순히 아이들의 흥미위주의 스토리텔링을 진행하는 것이 아닌 일종의 권력관계를 설정해 ...
