The goal of this work was to characterize the physiognomy and structure of the woody component of an area of caatinga vegetation in the Estação Ecológica (ESEC) of Aiuaba, Ceará state, thereby contributing to the knowledge of the vegetation of semiarid northeastern Brazil.
