Woodrow Wilson (1856–1924) was the 28th President of the United States, serving from 1913 to 1921. He was born in Virginia and grew up in Georgia and South Carolina. Educated at Davidson and Princeton, he went to law school for a year but then got a PhD in history and political science at Johns Hopkins.
