Abstract 1. Unter Benutzung des heterogenen vollständigen Gleichgewichts bei konstantem Halogendruck wurden als neue Verbindungen dreiwertigen Platins das Tribromid, PtBr 3 und Trijodid, PtJ 3 , gewonnen und zugleich das Temperaturbereich ihrer Beständigkeit mit dem der Di‐ und Tetraderivate festgestellt. Bei der Zersetzung der 4‐Halogenide Scheinen sich fest Lösungen als Zwischenprodukte zu bilden.

Hitherto, venesection has had to be regarded as the method of choice for treating haemochromatosis. Now, however, we have another means of withdrawing iron from the human organism. The great advantage of this new method over venesection is that it can also be employed in cases of transfusion haemosiderosis, haemolytic anaemia, and sideroachrestic anaemia, as well as in the many different forms of secondary siderosis.
