The gamma rays from ${\mathrm{Ag}}^{110m}$ were studied in magnetic spectrometers. Twenty-two electron lines corresponding to 14 gamma transitions were observed. These gamma rays were arranged in a plausible decay scheme. Directional correlation measurements were carried out on six gamma cascades in ${\mathrm{Cd}}^{110}$ resulting in spin assignments for 4 levels and multipolarity assignments for the strong gamma transitions.

The decay of ${\mathrm{Pm}}^{143}$, ${\mathrm{Pm}}^{144}$, and ${\mathrm{Pm}}^{146}$ has been studied with permanent magnet spectrographs, an intermediate-image beta spectrometer, and scintillation counters. Results on the electron-capture decay of ${\mathrm{Pm}}^{143}$ and ${\mathrm{Pm}}^{144}$ confirm the findings of previous investigators. The results of gamma-gamma directional correlation measurements are consistent with the spin assignments for the ${\mathrm{Nd}}^{144}$ levels made by Ofer. ${\mathrm{Pm}}^{146}$ (${ ...

The levels in ${\mathrm{Er}}^{168}$ populated by electron capture of ${\mathrm{Tm}}^{168}$ have been studied using scintillation spectrometers, gamma-gamma and electron-gamma coincidence measurements, and directional correlation techniques. This work leads to the following conclusions: the spin and parity of the 1543-keV level are verified as 3-; the 1280-keV transition is $E1(<~0.08%M2)$; the 721-keV transition is $E1(<~0.05%M2)$; and the 743-keV transition is $E2(<~2.4%M1)$. Abstract The decay of the two isomeriic states of Eu150 has been studied using spectrometers and coincidence and directional correlation techniques. In addition, the gamma-ray spectrum of 5 y Eu150 has been investigated with a lithium-drifted germanium detector. The nucleus Eu150 (13 h) decays to both Sm150 and Gd150. The decay to Sm150 proceeds via electron capture and a 1242 keV position branch (0.3%) to the ground state keV.ure branches to levels at 334 (2+), 740 (0+), 1047 (2+), 1165 (2+), 1256 (0+) ...

The electron-capture decay of Gd149 has been studied with an intermediate-image β-ray spectrometer, scintillation spectrometers, prompt and delayed coincidence techniques and directional correlation measurements. The previously reported 650 and 937 keV transitions were found to be composite 646 and 660 keV, and 933 and 940 keV transitions. The assignment of 750 and 790 keV transitions to this activity was confirmed. Energy levels in Eu149 are proposed at 0 keV (52+), 150 keV (72+), 423 keV, 497 keV ( ...

These activities have been investigated with scintillation and magnetic spectrometers, and coincidence and directional correlation techniques. ${\mathrm{Pm}}^{148}$ (5 day) decays via three beta branches to levels at 1460 kev, 551 kev, and the ground state, with the available energy being 2460\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{} ...

Coincidence and γ-γ directional correlation measurements on the decay of 156Tb to levels in 156Gd were carried out gating with 2 mm or 5 mm Ge(Li) detectors and displaying the spectrum of a 7.6 cm × 7.6 cm NaI detector. The dipole-quadrupole mixtures were determined for transitions of 262, 534, 960, 1065, 1066, 1159, 1222, 1333, 1644 and 1844 keV depopulating intrinsic levels above 1.5 MeV as well as levels at 1154, 1249 and 1355 keV in the gamma-vibrational band. The electron capture decay of 155Tb(5.6 d) and the beta decay of 155Eu(1.81 y) to excited states in 155Gd have been studied with a Ge(Li) detector and a scintillation spectrometer in singles and coincidence. The 155Tb sources were obtained from the 153Eu(α,2n)155Tb and 154Gd(α,3n)155Dy reactions. Previously unreported transitions in the decay of 155Tb with energies of 200.3, 235.1, 326.0, 383.1, 391.4, 427.4, 487.5, 532.4, and 647.8 keV were observed. The decays of ${\mathrm{Pm}}^{146}$ and ${\mathrm{Eu}}^{146}$ have been reinvestigated with the primary purpose of establishing the character of the second excited state previously reported at 1384 keV in ${\mathrm{Sm}}^{146}$. Gamma-gamma directional correlation data obtained from studies of both the beta decay of ${\mathrm{Pm}}^{146}$ and the electron capture and positron decay of ${\mathrm{Eu}}^{146}$, along with the $K$-shell internal-conversion-coefficient data, establish the existence of two close-lying states ...
