Image-based computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is widely used to predict intracranial aneurysm wall shear stress (WSS), particularly with the goal of improving rupture risk assessment. Nevertheless, concern has been expressed over the variability of predicted WSS and inconsistent associations with rupture. Previous challenges, and studies from individual groups, have focused on individual aspects of the image-based CFD pipeline. The aim of this Challenge was to quantify the total variability of the ...

Abstract Several peptide dual agonists of the human glucagon receptor (GCGR) and the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor (GLP-1R) are in development for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, obesity and their associated complications. Candidates must have high potency at both receptors, but it is unclear whether the limited experimental data available can be used to train models that accurately predict the activity at both receptors of new peptide variants. Here we use peptide sequence data labelled with ...

This article presents a project which is an experiment in the emerging field of human-machine artistic collaboration. The author/artist investigates responses by the generative pre-trained transformer (GPT-2) to poetic and esoteric prompts and curates them with elements of digital art created by the text-to-image transformer DALL-E 2 using those same prompts; these elements are presented in the context of photographs featuring an anthropomorphic female avatar as the messenger of the content. Sowing phases of French serradella ( Ornithopus sativus Brot.) pasture between extended cropping sequences in the Western Australian wheatbelt can sustain grain production through restoring soil fertility and reducing selective herbicide use. The objective of this article is to investigate the profitability of rotations involving this pasture under a variety of weed management scenarios to obtain greater insight into its value for mixed farming systems in this region. A stochastic search procedure, ...

Eastern star clover (Trifolium dasyurum C. Presl.) is a new pasture legume developed for use in short phases between extended cropping sequences in Western Australian dryland agriculture. Its delayed germination provides an opportunity to obtain almost complete control of the highly-competitive crop weed rigid ryegrass (Lolium rigidum Gaudin) through non-selective herbicide application and/or grazing. Given the recent development of a commercial cultivar of eastern star clover (cv. AGWEST® Sothis), ...

Objective: Our prespecified dose-response analyses of A Very Early Rehabilitation Trial (AVERT) aim to provide practical guidance for clinicians on the timing, frequency, and amount of mobilization following acute stroke. Methods: Eligible patients were aged ≥18 years, had confirmed first (or recurrent) stroke, and were admitted to a stroke unit within 24 hours of stroke onset. Patients were randomized to receive very early and frequent mobilization, commencing within 24 hours, or usual care. We used regression ...
