Introduction: The protein tyrosine phosphatases (PTPases or PTPs) are highly conserved phosphatases that regulate the tyrosine phosphorylation and consequently, the cellular functions. Protein tyrosine phosphorylation is the major post-translational modification to regulate signal transduction in cells. PTPs control diverse processes such as focal adhesion dynamics, cell–cell adhesion, insulin signaling, cytoskeletal functions, synaptogenesis and neurite growth. The availability of numerous X-ray ...

We demonstrate ultrarapid interfacial formation of one-dimensional (1D) single-crystalline fullerene C60 nanorods at room temperature in 5 s. The nanorods of ∼ 11 μm in length and ∼ 215 nm in diameter are developed in a hexagonal close-pack crystal structure, contrary to the cubic crystal structure of pristine C60. Vibrational and electronic spectroscopy provide strong evidence that the nanorods are a van der Waals solid, as evidenced from the preservation of the electronic structure of the C60 molecules ...

Graphene quantum dots are known to exhibit tunable photoluminescence (PL) through manipulation of edge functionality under various synthesis conditions. Here, we report observation of excitation dependent anomalous m–n type fingerprint PL transition in synthesized amino functionalized graphene quantum dots (5–7 nm). The effect of band-to-band π*–π and interstate to band n–π induced transitions led to effective multicolor emission under changeable excitation wavelength in the functionalized system. ...

Artificial enzyme mimetics have attracted immense interest recently because natural enzymes undergo easy denaturation under environmental conditions restricting practical usefulness. We report for the first time chalcopyrite CuZnFeS (CZIS) alloyed nanocrystals (NCs) as novel biomimetic catalysts with efficient intrinsic peroxidase-like activity. Novel peroxidase activities of CZIS NCs have been evaluated by catalytic oxidation of the peroxidase substrate 3,3′,5,5′-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) in the ...

Aggregation‐induced emission (AIE) is commonly observed in irregular bulk form. Herein, unique aggregation properties of an AIE‐active complex into branched supramolecular wires are reported for the first time. Mono‐cyclometalated Ir(III) complex shows in‐plane J‐aggregation at the air–water interface owing to the restriction of intramolecular vibration of bidentate phenylpyridinato and intramolecular rotations of monodentate triphenylphosphine ligands at air–water interface. As a consequence, a ...

Abstract Solution processed organic-inorganic halide perovskites emerged as efficient materials for the fabrication of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Spin coating of perovskites on solid support for device integration leads to poor morphology with pinholes and leakage current through electrical shunt paths thereby decreasing the device efficiency. Here, we report a facile route to improve the performance of MAPbBr3 perovskite based LEDs by incorporating a poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) interlayer ...
