Tim44 is an essential component of the machinery that mediates the translocation of nuclear-encoded proteins across the mitochondrial inner membrane. It functions as a membrane anchor for the ATP-driven protein import motor whose other subunits are the mitochondrial 70-kDa heat-shock protein (mhsp70) and its nucleotide exchange factor, mGrpE. Honey is a syrupy substance produced by bees, highly rich in monosaccharides (glucose, fructose), which give it a sweet flavor. The fundamental value of universal nomenclatural systems in biology is that they enable unambiguous scientific communication. However, the stability of these systems is threatened by recent discussions asking for a fairer nomenclature, raising the possibility of bulk revision processes for "inappropriate" names. Ficus platyphylla Ficus platyphylla belongs to the Moraceae family which contains nearly 1400 species divided into around forty genera. It is used to manage several diseases in folklore medicine. This study focused on the phytochemical screening and evaluation of the antibacterial potential against Pseudomona aeruginosa and Acinetobacter baumannii of hydroethanolic extract from Ficus platyphylla (FP) bark.
