Abstract A safe and effective vaccine with long-term protection against SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern (VOCs) is a global health priority. Here, we develop lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) to provide safe and effective delivery of plasmid DNA (pDNA) and show protection against VOCs in female small animal models. Diabetes education includes nutritional education and the provision of practical guidelines as to the interrelation between insulin requirements and carbohydrate intake. Carbohydrate (CHO) counting has therefore been a recommended daily practice to help patients to manage blood glucose levels in type 1 diabetes (T1D). Evidence suggests that CHO estimates should be within 1015 g of the actual meal for optimal postprandial blood glucose control.
