This paper presents a method for aspect based sentiment classification tasks, named convolutional multi-head self-attention memory network (CMA-MemNet). This is an improved model based on memory networks, and makes it possible to extract more rich and complex semantic information from sequences and aspects. In order to fix the memory network's inability to capture context-related information on a word-level, we propose utilizing convolution to capture n-gram grammatical information. We use multi- ...

Abstract In this paper we are concerned with the head control of a reach of an open channel. We consider a control configuration where the head sensor and actuator (gate position) are located nearby. This configuration does not seem to have been explored in the literature since the control task is made considerably difficult by the aftereffect of the water reflecting wave. To design the controller, the open channel reach is modeled by a linear retarded differential equation, where the retarded part ...

Human head movement can be looked at, as a rotational dynamics on the space SO(3) with constraints that have to do with the axis of rotation. Typically the axis vector, after a suitable scaling, is assumed to lie in a surface called Donders' surface. Various descriptions of Donders' surface are in the literature and in this paper we assume that the surface is described by a quadratic form. We propose a Tait–Bryan parametrization of SO(3), that is new in the head movement literature, and describe ...

This paper considers the feedback tracking control problem of drill-heads with the bit–rock interaction modeled by drifts and jump–diffusions (Lévy processes). A Lyapunov-type theorem is developed to study well-posedness, stability in moment, and almost sure stability of nonlinear stochastic differential equations driven by Lévy processes. This theorem and the backstepping method are applied to design robust and adaptive controllers that guarantee both global practical K∞-exponential p-stability ...

Microcomputer-based control of the x − y motion of a sewing head of an industrial sewing machine is considered. A digital controller, replacing a previously used analogue one, is designed. It is realized using a Motorola 6801 single-chip microcomputer. Adaptive control of the system is also discussed. In particular the model reference approach, using the Liapunov function, is adopted. A solution using this approach is proposed, along with a realization using the 16-bit Mostek 68200 microprocessor.

Summary This paper presents an example of humid air flow around a single head of Chinese cabbage under conditions of complex heat transfer. This kind of numerical simulation allows us to create a heat and humidity transfer model between the Chinese cabbage and the flowing humid air. The calculations utilize the heat transfer model in porous medium, which includes the temperature difference between the solid (vegetable tissue) and fluid (air) phases of the porous medium. Modelling and calculations ...

This paper addresses the robust performance synthesis problem for systems with positive-real or negative-imaginary uncertainty. The conventional robust performance design methods are mostly based on the gain information of uncertainty, which is not suitable for uncertainties characterized by the phase information. The approach taken here is based on the input–output relation of systems in the frequency-domain, which enables a less conservative yet numerically tractable solution to the robust performance ...

In order to guide the process of cluster head election for a given multi-level heterogeneous network, EDCS determines the probability of node to be a cluster head through average network residual energy estimation in next round by average energy consumption forecast in ideal state and reference value of historical energy consumption simultaneously. Furthermore, ...

Two types of linear digital repetitive control systems are designed and analyzed to reduce the error spectrum, including not only harmonic but also non-harmonic components. First, a novel gain adjusting algorithm is suggested for conventional and modified repetitive control systems with modelling uncertainties, in which the gain of the repetitive controller is adjusted to reduce the infinite norm of error in the frequency domain. For this, the relative error transfer function is newly defined as ...

In this paper, we propose a novel view-invariant gait authentication method based on silhouette contours analysis and view estimation. The approach extracts Lucas-Kanade based gait flow image and head and shoulder mean shape (LKGFI-HSMS) of a human by using the Lucas-Kanade0s method and procrustes shape analysis (PSA). LKGFI-HSMS can preserve the dynamic and static features of a gait sequence. The view between a person and a camera is identified for selecting the target's gait feature to overcome ...

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are energy-constrained, so energy saving is one of the most important issues in typical applications. The clustered WSN topology is considered in this paper. To achieve the balance of energy consumption and utility of network resources, we explicitly model and factor the effect of power and rate. A novel joint optimization model is proposed with the protection for cluster head. By the mean of a choice of two appropriate sub-utility functions, the distributed iterative ...

How to design an energy-efficient algorithm to maximize the network lifetime in complicated scenarios is a critical problem for heterogeneous wireless sensor networks (HWSN). In this paper, a clustering-tree topology control algorithm based on the energy forecast (CTEF) is proposed for saving energy and ensuring network load balancing, while considering the link quality, packet loss rate, etc. In CTEF, the average energy of the network is accurately predicted per round (the lifetime of the network ...
