Sulfur isotope study of the Iwami Kuroko deposits shows that sulfide minerals from the disseminated ores, the bedded ores, the mudstones and the gypsum ores have δ34S values ranging from +1.2 to +5.5‰, from -0.8 to +5.4‰, from -7.7 to -1.29‰, and from -15.3 to +5.4‰, respectively. Abstract The Iwami epithermal silver deposit consists of Ag‐Cu veins in a dacitic intrusive body at the deep portion of the Eikyu area, and veinlets with disseminated Ag mineralization in dacitic tuff breccia at a shallow portion of the Fukuishi area. 物理・力学的性質を評価するため,文化庁から許可を得て天然記念物である島根県石見畳ヶ浦の波食棚構成砂岩(中部中新統唐(とうがね)鐘累層)および石灰質ノジュールを採取した.砂岩およびノジュールの密度はそれぞれ2.16~2.21Mg/m3,2.50~2.58Mg/m3であり,間隙率は砂岩で10.6~14.9%,ノジュールでは2.40~4.82%であった.また,P波速度は砂岩で2.30~2.99km/s,ノジュールでは3.69~4.63km/sであった.一軸圧縮試験および圧裂引張試験の結果,圧縮強度は砂岩で18.1~26.7MPa,ノジュールで56.9~128MPaであり,引張強度は砂岩で1.52~6.04MPa,ノジュールで4.03~10.9MPaであった.間隙率と引張強度の比として表される易風化指数は,砂岩で2.1~7.6×10-2MPa-1,ノジュールで2.4~6.7×10-3MPa-1であった.ノジュールの鏡下観察からは炭酸塩によるマトリックスの充填が確認されたが,強度が低い砂岩には見られなかった.以上の結果より,ノジュールは炭酸塩の膠着作用により砂岩に比べ緻密かつ強固であり,風化しにくいことがわかった.

島根県産「きぬむすめ」で4種類の米粉を作成して,米粉パンへの適性について検討した.損傷デンプン,吸水特性などについて測定した結果,損傷デンプンが製パン時の比容積と負の相関にあること,平均粒経については相関性がみられなかったこと,さらに損傷デンプンの多い米粉ほど吸水速度は緩慢で飽和吸水率の値が高いことが示唆された.このことから,島根県産「きぬむすめ」から製造した米粉も,損傷デンプンが低くなる製粉方法が,米パン製造に適していると判断された.梅花酵母の低糖生地での発酵力について試験した結果,米粉を原料とした試験区の方が小麦粉を原料とした試験区よりも値が高くなった.これは加水量が影響していて,特にファリノグラフの測定から米粉パンを製造するのに適している77〜85%で,ガス発生量の値が大きくなることを確認した.梅花酵母で製造した米粉パン生地の香気成分を測定したが,ベンズアルデヒドが特徴的な成分として検出された.また米粉パン中のアミノ酸を分析したが,市販酵母で製造したものより,特にセリンとグルタミン酸が多く含まれていた.
