To evaluate the effectiveness of PCR and real-time PCR for the diagnosis of human visceral leishmaniasis using peripheral blood samples. Foi identificado um exemplar de Nosopsyllus fasciatus ectoparasito normal de ratos (Rattus rattus alexandrinus, E. Geoffrey, 1803) parasitando acidentalmente um dos caes examinados.

O presente trabalho caracterizou o perfil dos servidores de um Instituto Federal de Educação nos quesitos socioeconômicos e hábitos de consumo de bebidas à base de frutas.
