Ion-exchange resins like sodium polystyrene sulfonate (Resonium A®; SPS), calcium polystyrene sulfonate (Sorbisterit®; CPS) and sevelamer (Renvela®) are treatments for management of the electrolyte disturbances hyperkalemia and hyperphosphatemia.
