Herein, we report that highly dispersed Ni hydroxide species supported on CeO2 act as an efficient heterogeneous catalyst for the selective borylation of benzylic C(sp3)–H bonds of alkylarenes including secondary derivatives, using pinacolborane as the borylating agent.
