Fourier transform infrared analysis, nuclear magnetic resonance, and thermogravimetric analysis show that most of the solid product prepared from the reaction of Ti(OC 4 H 9 ) 4 and excess (CH 3 CO) 2 O is a mixture of titanyl organic compounds. Nanocrystalline TiO 2 particles, which include anatase TiO 2 , rutile TiO 2 , and a mixture of anatase and rutile, can be obtained from hydrolysis of the titanyl organic compounds under normal pressure at 60°C. The particle size, shape, and formation process of ...

Cyclosporin A (CsA) is a widely used immunosuppressant drug. Its immunosuppressive activity occurs through the inhibition of the protein phosphatase calcineurin via formation of a ternary complex with cyclophilin A (CypA). CsA also inhibits endothelial cell proliferation and angiogenesis. This has been thought to occur through calcineurin inhibition as well. However, CsA is also a potent inhibitor of cyclophilins, a class of prolyl isomerases. Because calcineurin inhibition requires binding, and therefore ...

Distant hybridization is a traditional and effective technology in fish genetic breeding. In this study, we reported a new type of golden pompano (Named as Chenhai No.1) produced by the distant hybridization of (Trachinotus ovatus ♀ × T. blochii ♂) ♀ × T. ovatus ♂. The results regarding DNA content, chromosomal number, and morphological traits showed that "Chenhai No.1" was a diploid hybrid with 48 chromosomes, and presented a hybrid appearance compared with those in its parents. Meanwhile, all detected "Chenhai ...

This study presents the Fourier Decay Perception Generative Adversarial Network (FDP-GAN), an innovative approach dedicated to alleviating limitations in photoacoustic imaging stemming from restricted sensor availability and biological tissue heterogeneity. By integrating diverse photoacoustic data, FDP-GAN notably enhances image fidelity and reduces artifacts, particularly in scenarios of low sampling. Its demonstrated effectiveness highlights its potential for substantial contributions to clinical ...

The assembly and succession of the gut microbiota are important events in animal growth and have a significant impact on the productivity of aquaculture organisms, which can be influenced by the environment, growth stages, and dietary changes. However, little is known about how the growth of aquaculture organisms and dietary differences during growth affect the assembly of the gut microbiota. In this study, we fed golden pompano (Trachinotus ovatus) a regular diet and a high-fat, high-protein diet, ...

Toll-like receptors (TLRs) represent a prominent category of pattern recognition receptors that have been extensively investigated for their pivotal role in combating pathogen incursions. Despite this, there has been a notable absence of comprehensive identification and exploration of the immune response associated with the TLR family genes in C. altivelis. This study successfully identified and named fourteen genes as Catlr1-1, Catlr1-2, Catlr2-1, Catlr2-2, Catlr3, Catlr5, Catlr7, Catlr8, Catlr9, ...
