This work deals with the preparation of freeze-cast scaffolds using a bioactive glass from the SiO2–CaO–Na2O–P2O5–K2O–MgO system. This material could be sintered at lower temperatures (650 °C) than other variations of bioactive glasses, which is an important advantage in terms of energy and cost savings.
