The present work reports the length–weight relationships (LWR) for four ornamental fish species from the middle Negro River basin, Amazonas, Brazil. The r2 value ranged from 0.810 to 0.941 and values of b varied from 2.346 to 3.442. These results represent the first reference on LWR for all four species, based on FishBase.

Abstract We determined that the dengue outbreak in São Tomé and Príncipe during 2022 was caused by dengue virus serotype 3 genotype III. Caulerpin (CLP), an alkaloid from algae of the genus Caulerpa, has shown anti-inflammatory activity. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the effect of CLP in the murine model of peritonitis and ulcerative colitis. Firstly, the mice were submitted to peritonitis to evaluate which dose of CLP (40, 4, or 0.4 mg/kg) could decrease the inflammatory infiltration in the peritoneum.
