SUMMARY Population statistics are presented for histories of seizures in four population units of the tropical Mariana Islands of the western Pacific. Of the 6967 persons surveyed, 214 had a history of one or more convulsions. The prevalence rate for afebrile seizures was 3.4/1000 population.
