神奈川県平塚市ゆるぎ地区の里山をケーススタディ地として,KJ 法を活用した写真投影法を用いて,来訪者の景観の選好性について調査した。対象者は,2014 年9 月21 日に子どもを連れ,里山散策や農作業体験を行った17 人の里山散策の引率者で ある。対象者が里山体験でプラスの印象に残った良い場面として撮影した437 枚の写真を分析した結果,写真は「森林」,「畑」,「展望」,「水辺」,「文化」,「その他」の6 クラスターに大分類でき,各クラスターはさらに,近景~遠景の違いなどよってサブクラスター化できた。結果を考察すると,里山活動や里山散策の際に良いと感じる景観は,一般的に人々が観光資源であると認識しやすい景観である眺望や水辺,文化財などが好まれることが実証された一方で,谷筋の木道などの添景,木の実などの至近景,人々の活動景なども選好度が高いことがわかった。以上より,里山では観光目的地となる美しい景観を保全管理することも重要であるが,突出した風景とはいえないながらも,来訪者の感性に訴えかける保全管理が必要であることが指摘できた。
