In an attempt to dissect the virulence mechanisms of Yersinia ruckeri two adjacent genes, yrpA and yrpB, encoding putative peptidases belonging to the U32 family, were analyzed. Abstract A well-functioning placenta is essential for fetal and maternal health throughout pregnancy.
