The aim of this paper is to fill the existing research gap in the knowledge of the interrelationships between relational resources, the static capabilities associated with the planning and organization of export activity, certain dynamic capabilities—international entrepreneurial orientation, orientation to foreign markets and strategic flexibility—and the achievement of perceived competitive advantages in international markets. The proposed conceptual model is analyzed on the basis of an empirical ...

The last decade has seen major transformations in the tourism sector, influenced by changes in consumer behaviour and the integration of technology. The Metaverse has emerged as a transformative force but with certain limitations. In this sense, the literature highlights the need to address research gaps in terms of the levels of acceptance of this new technology and with regard to the challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the tourism sector. Thus, the main objective of ...

Hydrogen peroxide (H2 O2 ) is the cosubstrate used by the enzyme catalase to form Compound I (the catalase-H2 O2 system), which is the major pathway for the conversion of ethanol (EtOH) into acetaldehyde in the brain. This centrally formed acetaldehyde has been shown to be involved in some of the psychopharmacological effects induced by EtOH in rodents, including voluntary alcohol intake. It has been observed that different levels of this enzyme in the central nervous system (CNS) result in variations ...

Heterologous vaccination against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) provides a rational strategy to rapidly increase vaccination coverage in many regions of the world. Although data regarding messenger RNA (mRNA) and ChAdOx1 vaccine combinations are available, there is limited information about the combination of these platforms with other vaccines widely used in developing countries, such as BBIBP-CorV and Sputnik V. Here, we assess the immunogenicity and reactogenicity of 15 vaccine combinations ...

This paper proposes a Transient Stability Constrained Optimal Power Flow (TSCOPF) formulation that models non-synchronous renewable generation equipped with synthetic inertia. The proposed optimization problem calculates the optimal operating point of the system, accommodating high shares of non-synchronous renewable generation while ensuring transient stability in the event of critical incidents. Synthetic inertia controllers are used to improve the dynamic stability of the system in cases of very ...

Power system dynamics studies involving fixed-speed wind turbines normally use a wind turbine model consisting of two lumped masses, an elastic coupling and a induction generator model which neglects stator transients. However, validations of this model with measured data are rarely reported in the literature. This paper validates the model using a recorded case obtained in a fixed speed, stall regulated 180 kW wind turbine through a voltage dip. The work analyses the performance of the reduced ...

This paper proposes a model of the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) suitable for transient stability studies. The main assumption adopted in the model is that the current control loops, which are much faster than the electromechanic transients under study, do not have a significant influence on the transient stability of the power system and may be considered instantaneous. The proposed DFIG model is a set of algebraic equations which are solved using an iterative procedure. A method is also ...

This paper studies the effect of neglecting stator transients in doubly fed induction generators. The simulated cases involve two extreme operation points: one at subsynchronous speed and one at supersynchronous speed. A short-circuit fault is applied at the generator terminals. The evolution of different variables is examined using two different models: one of them accounts for the stator transients and the other one neglects them.

The proposed TI DNN utilizes the set of measurements used for state estimation to predict the actual network topology and offers low computational times along with high accuracy under a wide variety of testing scenarios. The training process of the TI DNN is duly discussed, and several deep learning heuristics that may be useful for similar implementations are provided. ...

Transient stability constrained optimal power flow (TSCOPF) is a non-linear optimisation problem used to perform economic dispatches while ensuring TS. This study proposes a multi-contingency TSCOPF model that retains the dynamics of all generators and includes a transient synchronous generator fourth-order dq -axis model. A program is developed that automatically reads the system data from standard files, builds the multiple-contingency TSCOPF model on a high-level modelling system and solves it ...

The sustainable management of agroforestry landscapes is complex because they are socio-ecosystems that integrate biological and socio-productive diversity with spatial-temporal dynamical interactions. Furthermore, agroforestry landscapes provide a variety of ecosystem goods and services at both the farm and global levels, and host thousands of rural people whose livelihoods depend on the forest. Strong dependence on the forest for subsistence strengthens the need to promote their sustainable management. ...
