Neste sentido, aprofundámos o estudo da relação entre alguns textos de Humboldt escritos durante a viagem pela América do Sul e novas ideias de paisagem que ganhavam fôlego no Velho Continente, as das paisagens sublimes, das quais o parque da Pena constitui um exemplo ímpar.
