We present a brother and sister with severe rickets, alopecia and highly elevated serum levels of 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D (1,25-(OH)2D3). Genomic sequencing showed a homozygous point mutation (A133G) in the vitamin D receptor gene, leading to an amino acid change in the DNA binding domain (K45E), which was described previously. A measurement of time-dependent C P violation in the decays of B 0 and B ¯ 0 mesons to the final states J / ψ ( → μ + μ − ) K S 0 , ψ ( 2 S ) ( → μ + μ − ) K S 0 and J / ψ ( → e + e − ) K S 0 with K S 0 → π + π − is presented. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 6 fb − 1 collected at a center-of-mass energy of s = 13 TeV with the LHCb detector. Neoadjuvant short-course radiotherapy was routinely applied for nonlocally advanced rectal cancer (cT1-3N0-1M0 with >1 mm distance to the mesorectal fascia) in the Netherlands following the Dutch total mesorectal excision trial. This policy has shifted toward selective application after guideline revision in 2014.

The LHCb Collaboration measures production of the exotic hadron χ c 1 ( 3872 ) in proton-nucleus collisions for the first time. Comparison with the charmonium state ψ ( 2 S ) suggests that the exotic χ c 1 ( 3872 ) experiences different dynamics in the nuclear medium than conventional hadrons, and comparison with data from proton-proton collisions indicates that the presence of the nucleus may modify χ c 1 ( 3872 ) production rates. An amplitude analysis of the B 0 → K * 0 μ + μ − decay is presented using a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.7 fb − 1 of p p collision data collected with the LHCb experiment. For the first time, the coefficients associated to short-distance physics effects, sensitive to processes beyond the standard model, are extracted directly from the data through a q 2 -unbinned amplitude analysis, where q 2 is the μ + μ − invariant mass squared. A study of resonant structures in B + → D * + D − K + and B + → D * − D + K + decays is performed, using proton-proton collision data at center-of-mass energies of s = 7 , 8, and 13 TeV recorded by the LHCb experiment, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 9 fb − 1 . A simultaneous amplitude fit is performed to the two channels with contributions from resonances decaying to D * − D + and D * + D − states linked by C parity. A bstract The production cross-section of J/ψ pairs in proton-proton collisions at a centre-of-mass energy of $$ \sqrt{s} $$ s = 13 TeV is measured using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4 . 2 fb − 1 collected by the LHCb experiment. The measurement is performed with both J/ψ mesons in the transverse momentum range 0 < p T < 14 GeV/ c and rapidity range 2 . 0 < y < 4 . 5. A bstract A comprehensive study of the local and nonlocal amplitudes contributing to the decay B 0 → K *0 (→ K + π − ) μ + μ − is performed by analysing the phase-space distribution of the decay products. The analysis is based on pp collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 8.4 fb − 1 collected by the LHCb experiment. The fraction of χ c 1 and χ c 2 decays in the prompt J / ψ yield, F χ c → J / ψ = σ χ c → J / ψ / σ J / ψ , is measured by the LHCb detector in p Pb collisions at s NN = 8.16 TeV . The study covers the forward ( 1.5 < y * < 4.0 ) and backward ( − 5.0 < y * < − 2.5 ) rapidity regions, where y * is the J / ψ rapidity in the nucleon-nucleon center-of-mass system.
