In the present study we report new records of the anurans Hypsiboas curupi, Scinax littoralis, Dendropsophus elegans, and Crossodactylus schmidti for the state of Santa Catarina. These records expand the geographic distribution currently known for these species and contribute for the knowledge of the southern Brazilian anuran fauna.

Adults of Trichoptera were collected in four sites in Santa Catarina Lachatao, Oaxaca, México, using black light traps and entomological nets. A total of 12 families, 23 genera, and 37 species were recorded. This is the first detailed description of Toxocara cati parasitizing felines in South America. Seventeen run over wild felines (Leopardus colocolo, Leopardus geoffroyi, Leopardus tigrinus, and Puma yagouaroundi) were collected from different towns in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
