Abstract ReNCl 2 (PMe 2 Ph) 3 reacts as a Lewis base and with BCl 3 forms a nitrido bridge between Re and B. The resulting complex Re(NBCl 3 )Cl 2 (PMe 2 Ph) 3 crystallizes orthorhombic in the space group Pn2 1 a with Z = 4. In the complex each Re atom has six nearest neighbours in an almost octahedral arrangement with the NBCl 3 group being trans to one of the Cl ligands. The difference between the two Re-Cl bond lengths (239,4 and 243,9 pm) indicates a weak trans effect of NBCl 3 . The linear bridge Re≡ ...

Abstract The effect of boron (between 0.06 and 0.11 wt%) on the microstructure, hardness and compression properties of cast Ti-6Al-4V was investigated. Compression properties were examined in the temperature range from room temperature to 1000°C. It was found that the addition of boron refines the as-cast microstructure in terms of prior beta grain size and alpha colony size. This microstructural refinement led to an increase in compressive yield strength from room temperature up to 700°C. Three ...
