Within the discharge playa of Sidi El Hani, the surrounding aquifers converge due to uprising underground waters. The Principal Component Analysis proves that the fluid density is inversely influenced by the rainfall and has a reciprocal effect with evaporation. This parameter is governed by uprising groundwaters and the convergence of waters and inflow in the sabkha result in a geochemical exceptionality. The fluid density maintains high values during the year, the modeling of which shows a third ...

AbstractThe composition and distribution of the main planktonic halophilic microorganisms were studied in 12 ponds of different salinity levels, ranging from 38 to 328, in the saltern of Sousse, Tunisia, in relation to environmental factors. Nutrient concentrations increased with decreasing salinity in the ponds. Phytoplankton, ciliate and zooplankton communities were very diverse and varied spatially in relation to salinity in the ponds and to nutrient availability. Phytoplankton were dominated ...

The clinical features of 3455 patients (72.4% men, 1741 with myocardial infarction, 1714 with unstable angina) were analysed on hospital admission. The prevalence of smoking, dyslipidaemia, hypertension, diabetes and obesity was 77.4%, 39.4%, 28.5%, 42.5% and 25.1% respectively in men and 2.9%, 43.7%, 59.2%, 56.6% and 31.9% respectively in women. The aim of this study was to evaluate the diagnostic value of RhD fetal genotyping from the plasma of RhD-negative pregnant women. We analysed the plasma samples of 65 pregnant women. DNA quantification was done using real time quantitative PCR (RQ-PCR) in multiplex targeting multiple RhD exons 5, 7 and 10, with a standardized pool of plasmid calibrators. Results were compared with serological analysis of cord blood after delivery.Fetal RhD status was predicted with 95.38% accuracy from maternal plasma ...

Les âges IRSL de ces deux unités marines, obtenus à El Hajeb, à proximité de la localité type de Douira au Sahel, confirment l'âge pré-tyrrhénien de la Formation Douira.
