The history of permafrost landscape map compilation is related to the study of ecological problems with permafrost. Permafrost-landscape studies are now widely used in geocryological mapping. Permafrost-landscape classifications and mapping are necessary for studying the trends in development of the natural environment in northern and high-altitude permafrost regions. The cryogenic factor in the permafrost zone plays a leading role in the differentiation of landscapes, so it must be considered during ...

An optical structured illumination of 3D object as a light band method for automatic noncontact wear measurement and defects detection of a contact wire network is presented. The experimental device can extract main technological wire parameters like remaining height with RMS value down to 0.15 mm. Also the cross-sectional area of the wire can be measured with RMS area noise value of 1.5 mm 2 , which is sufficient for a confident decision-making related to the automatic wire wears and defects on railways, ...

An optical structured light method and an opto-electronic system for automatic noncontact distant measurements of wear and defect detection for a contact wire electro-supply network are presented. The industrial prototype of the system can extract the main technological wire parameters: the remaining height with the rms error down to 0.15 mm and the wire cross-section area with a rms error of 1.5 mm2. This information is sufficient for confident decision making as to safe operation of the contact ...

Most high duty parts used in various fields of productions are forged parts made of steel. The conventional forging process chains include an induction heating systems and hot forming equipment. The large amount of consumed energy and an excess of material (flash) are the main factors motivating necessity to optimize the industrial technologies of metal hot forming. A significant economical effect can be achieved through optimization of heating modes and design parameters of induction heaters on ...

Advanced automated optoelectronic system for contact wire wear inspection on the go using a structured light method is presented. The algorithm of the video stream analysis and approaches to its implementation using high-performance electronic equipment are given. The automated system described has allowed measuring wear parameters with 10 mm interval at the inspection wagon velocity of 60 km per hour. The root-mean-square error for the measurements of the remaining height and contact plot constitutes ...

Based on an optical structured light method an opto-electronic system for automatic noncontact distant measurements of wear and defects detection for a contact wire electro-supply network is presented. The created industrial system prototype measures the main technological wire parameters, first of all, the remaining height with RMS error down to 0,15 mm and the wire cross-section area with RMS error of 1,5 mm2. Measurement results are sufficient for confident decision about the replacement of worn- ...

Abstract Lead‐free halide perovskites is a novel class of environment‐friendly nonlinear optical materials, that already demonstrate high potential for second harmonics generation (SHG). Here a synthesis protocol is optimized to create single‐crystal CsGeI 3 nanoparticles (NPs) supporting optical Mie resonances that efficiently convert infrared light to visible both via lasing and SHG mechanisms. Such high‐quality resonant NPs allow us to achieve up‐conversion lasing in the broadband excitation wavelength ( ...

There have been specified the principal tasks of the image preparation for the face recognition and criteria of the image quality evaluation. There has been proposed a method of the face tracking in a video stream, a search criterion of the similar images formulated and the current estimators of the contrasting effect and image sharpness analyzed. The method of lighting compensation and the angle control method on the basis of POSIT algorithm have been studied.

Based on the method of optical contour illumination, a system has been developed and created for automatically measuring the wear and detecting the defects of the conductor of railroad contact grids. The system determines the residual height of the contact conductor to within 0.1mm and the cross-sectional area of the conductor with an rms error of 1.5mm2 at velocities of up to 60km∕h, and this is sufficient to confidently make a decision whether to replace the worn sections of the contact grids. ...

As it is known the mining of oil and gas offshore is carried out using the drilling platforms, which are extremely massive and inert. In order to avoid excessive stresses on platform, which is highly inertial object, it consists of few large parts (normally base and legs). Four friction pendulum bearings are used for mechanical link between the base and legs. The bearings functionality is to provide the protection of the platform from all possible mechanical loadings on the legs that might affect ...
