The application of Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) in vertebrate palaeontology is very rare. We describe the discovery of an Early Pliocene sirenian skeleton detected by GPR in a locality near Grosseto (Tuscany, Italy). We present an interesting case of intracavitary application of a chemotherapeutic agent (Mitoxantron) to treat “successfully” a cerebral metastasis. This therapeutic option should be reconsidered in selected cases and be included in the stereotactic protocols.
