The effect of substituting Fe3+ ions by a combination of divalent Ni2+ and tetravalent Ti4+ in SrM hexaferrites synthesized by mechanical ball-milling technique were reported. Standard SrFe12O19 hexagonal ferrite (P63/mmc) was confirmed by measured XRD patterns. The phase purity was also confirmed by the XPS. The SEM images showed a clear hexagonal-shape particles in the prepared ferrites. The elemental distribution obtained from EDX spectra for SrFe12–2xNixTixO19 (x = 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8) was consistent ...

Existing knowledge regarding the role of household adaptation in pursuing urban resilience, especially in developing countries, is limited. Upon this rationale, the study provides in-depth empirical evidence on how resilience is framed, pursued, and realized from the perspective of low-income households in the Philippines. The study adopted a mixed-methods strategy to expound on the dynamics that affect resilience-building measures at the household level. The quantitative tools were chosen to provide ...

Abstract Safflower red is a natural dye extracted from the petals of Carthamus tinctorius L. Its main coloring matter is carthamin. Despite its poor lightfastness, safflower was greatly appreciated in Asia for its bright red color. It was particularly important in nishiki‐e multicolor Japanese woodblock printing. In the present work, safflower red was analyzed by Fourier transform (FT)‐Raman and surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectroscopies and the band assignment was carried out with the ...
