Abstract Aims Bleeding risk assessment is recommended in guidelines for the management of atrial fibrillation (AF). The HAS-BLED score was proposed prior to non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (NOACs) and it has been suggested that the ORBIT score may be superior in predicting bleeds in NOAC users.
