Robert D. Bell, W. L. Parry, Will Grundy,
Renal lymph concentrations of sodium and potassium were compared with those of arterial blood plasma before and during ACh induced decrease in medullary sodium concentration. It was found that L/P ratios of both sodium and potassium were unchanged following renal arterial infusion of ACh. These data yielded the conclusion that L/P ratios for sodium are largely due to renal cortical mechanisms and are independent of medullary interstitial fluid sodium concentration.

Abstract A wide range of new classes of early transition metal and actinide compounds have been isolated with the new amido and phosphido ligands −E(CH2CH2E′R2)2 (where R = alkyl; E = N, E′ = N, P, As and E = P, E′ = P). Structural and chemical properties of metal derivatives are seen to be sensitive to variations in the ligands. Dependent on the nature of the donors, monomeric complexes with pendant bases may be obtained. These may be used as precursors for the preparation of homo- and heterobimetallic compounds.

The D-type cyclins and their major kinase partners CDK4 and CDK6 regulate G0-G1-S progression by contributing to the phosphorylation and inactivation of the retinoblastoma gene product, pRB. Assembly of active cyclin D-CDK complexes in response to mitogenic signals is negatively regulated by INK4 family members. Here we show that although all four INK4 proteins associate with CDK4 and CDK6 in vitro, only p16(INK4a) can form stable, binary complexes with both CDK4 and CDK6 in proliferating cells. ...

This paper will be concerned with an adaptation of Parry's trapezoid symbolism to the solving of problems. In Parry's notation ‘ p q ’, in particular, sets forth ... will be seen later. The symbol for q will in like manner be ‘⌋’. Let ‘ ’ and ‘ ’, then, be regarded as elemental symbols setting forth the matrix analysis of the variables. Suppose further that in transcribing from conventional to the trapezoid symbolism we substitute for the variables only, retaining the constants (antithetically to Parry's procedure). Thus ‘ p ∨ q ’ becomes, not ‘ p ...
