静岡県焼津平野の沖積低地で掘削したボーリング試料から得た海成層の上限高度とその年代と測地学データから,調査地域に隆起をもたらした安政東海地震と同様な地震の発生間隔を求めるため2つのモデルを作成した.地震間の沈降速度を一定としたモデルでは,1回の地震性隆起量を1.0,1.3,1.5,1.8mとすると,地震の平均発生間隔はそれぞれ143-174,188-226,215-261,261-324年と算出された.一方,地震間の沈降速度は一定ではないと仮定したモデルでは,隆起量1.0mに対する発生間隔は150-178年と算出された.

本研究では，日本の海岸林を対象とし，津波耐力限界を現地引き倒し試験と生木曲げ強度試験により検討する事を目的とした．津波による流体力が海岸林に作用する事により生じるモーメントに着目し力学的な耐力限界の特性について，焼津市田尻の海岸に自生していたクロマツを対象に現地引き倒し試験をおこなった．樹木の根と地盤による倒伏モーメントに関する耐力限界を引張り荷重と変位を同時計測することにより算出した．さらに，幹折れや折損のような幹断面が破壊される力学的な条件として，幹断面の曲げモーメントについてクロマツ生木を用いた曲げ強度材質試験による計測結果を分析することで曲げモーメントによる樹木幹材の耐力限界を検討した．

2019年台風19号(Hagibis)によって駿河湾の清水港および焼津漁港に発生した高潮・高波被害に関する現地調査を実施した．高潮時に両港で観測された最高潮位はT.P. 1.7mであり，清水港における約1mの最大潮位偏差は吸い上げによる高潮の約2倍であった．最高潮位より高いふ頭においても浸水被害が発生しており，高潮だけでなく高潮と高波の重畳により被害が発生したことが判明した．清水港では，防波堤開口部からの直線的な入射ではないが，高潮上の波の作用によりふ頭上の建物の外壁がくの字状に屈曲する被害が発生した．焼津漁港でも高潮・高波による被害が発生した．物流に重要なふ頭などの台風災害への強靭化には，高潮・高波の重畳を検討することも重要である．
