The processes of intramolecular and polymer-to-particle energy transfer as well as charge separation at the organic/inorganic interface in acetonitrile dispersions and composite films based on a novel processible copolymer of aniline with 3-methylthiophene and CdS or CdSe nanoparticles have been studied. The copolymer was synthesized by chemical oxidative polymerization, and its structure was analyzed using IR and electronic absorption spectroscopy. The contribution of the aniline and methylthiophene ...

Using magnetographic data provided by the Helioseismic and Magnetic Imager on board the Solar Dynamics Observatory, we analyzed the structure of magnetic fields and vertical electric currents in six active regions (ARs) with different level of flare activity. We found that electric currents are well balanced over the entire AR: for all of them the current imbalance is below 0.1%, which means that any current system is closed within an AR. Decomposition of the transverse magnetic field vector into ...

We report the synthesis and properties of new hybrid nanocomposites of poly(3-methylthiophene) and CdSe nanoparticles. The synthesis method is based on the chemical oxidative polymerization of 3-methylthiophene in the presence of CdSe nanoparticles of different shapes (quantum dots, nanorods, and tetrapods). In situ, the open circuit potential and the UV-Vis monitoring of a reaction mixture are used to control the polymerization process. The minimal and maximal CdSe concentrations in nanocomposites ...
